Samsung Fascinate is an Samsung Galaxy S Modified and sold by Verizon Wireless operator USA. Recently, an internal Verizon document that contains a list of bugs alias weakness Samsung Fascinate leaked via Boy Genius Report.

Some weaknesses Samsung Fascinate List :

when user calling or will accept an incoming call then the user presses the search button then the call will be disconnected
Slow GPS performance when used with Google Maps and Bing Maps.
Email Sync is not working properly.
Weakness on Security Lock Exchange Active Sync.

Cnet are reporting that Apple (AAPL) has obtained rights to sell ready made ringtones for the iPhone from iTunes, and apparently they are rushing to get them ready for next weeks Apple Special Event.

Apple will announce the ringtones on September 9, the day the company has scheduled a press event, if managers can get them ready in time to sell, the sources said. An Apple spokesman declined to comment.

At the moment you can create custom ringtones in iTunes for $0.99 each, where you can select up to 30 seconds of a track and save it as a ringtone, there are no details on pricing of the new Apple iPhone ringtones, but it suspect they will probably sell for a similar $0.99

It will come as no surprise to learn that the Nokia N900 will run on the Linux based Maemo operating system. Maemo 5 supports multi tasking letting users run multiple applications at once. Managing open applications and switching to and from as well as closing programs is made simple thanks to the dashboard. Hit the dashboard key and you’ll be given an overview of what’s currently running. Symbian phones have been doing this kind of thing for years but the way Maemo effortlessly handles multi-tasking is what sets it apart from the rest. This is backed up further by a 600MHz ARM processor putting it in line with the likes of the iPhone 3GS and Palm Pre in terms of processing power. The impressive processor is backed up by up to 1GB of application memory; 256 MB RAM and 768 MB of virtual memory. At 181 g and 18mm thick, the N900 certainly makes its presence known.

What else can we expect? Well, the N900 packs in a 5.0 Megapixel camera with a Carl Zeiss lens and Dual LED Flash. The N900 sports the same memory capacity and expansion options as the N97; 32GB onboard and 16GB respectively. HSDPA, Wi-Fi and GPS are all pretty much a given and the N900 also implements some new Geo-tagging features meaning that for once it may be more than just a novelty in a camera phone. At a glance the N900 lacks a headlining feature. There’s no 12 Megapixel camera or HD video capture, Nokia are instead targeting the user experience in the same way Apple and Android has shifted the focus. Nice touches such as grouping Emails, texts and instant messages together so they appear as one conversation clearly shows Nokia is learning from its peers.

Being a high-end smartphone, you'd expect the Toshiba Portege G910 to come equipped with some serious features. And so it does...but there's just one small problem.The camera is...what's the word I'm looking for?...dreadful! It's only 2 megapixels for a start, which is pretty poor for a smartphone, but it's the poor picture quality and the sheer slowness of it that really lets it down. You use the camera with the G910 open. This is because there's no viewfinder, so you have to use the screen to frame your shot, which of course you can only see when the G910 is open.

There's a dedicated camera button on the keyboard, so at least you don't have to press the function key to take a pic, but the screen updates at what must be 3 frames a second. The E90, in contrast, updates in real time, so you can easily see what you're about to take a photo of. With the G910, you move the camera around and it takes an age for the image on screen to catch up with what the camera is actually pointing at. Push the button to take the pic, and again you have to wait until all the ice caps have melted before the picture is actually taken. Worse, as you can see from the pics I shot, the results leave an awful lot to be desired.

Sony Ericsson have announced the new Sony Ericsson P1 smartphone, which has surprised the world, largely because we all thought it was going to be called the P700i! In a break with previous numbering formats, the P1 replaces the existing Sony Ericsson P900i and P990i smartphones, and offers much better features in a smartphone that's 25% smaller than a P990.

The Sony Ericsson P1i should look familiar to regular readers of this site, largely because we've been showing leaked pictures of it for the past
month, when everyone thought it was going to be called the P700i. But no, in a shock move, Sony Ericsson have named it the P1i.

One of the reasons the P1i is
able to be so much smaller than the P990 is because it does away with the full QWERTY keyboard used in its predecessor, and instead includes a QWERTY keyboard with two characters sitting on each physical key. Depress a key to the left, and you get a Q, for example, while depress the same key to the right and
you get an E.

All the technical specifications of the new LG KS20 at the time of going to press, but we do know enough to be sure that this is an interesting and intriguing handset.A couple of things are immediately obvious - the LG KS20 is a touchscreen phone running Windows Mobile (in this case it's version 6 of the operating system). Look more closely and you can see that this is a 3G phone with WiFi, Bluetooth, plus a two megapixel camera with flash on the back. The LG KS20 also has microSD expandable memory.In fact, the KS20 isn't just a 3G phone, it's a 3.5G HSDPA device. With the large touchscreen (we understand it's a 2.8" panel), the LG KS20 is going to be competing with the upcoming European version of the Apple iPhone, and ironically the new LG KU990 "Viewty" touchscreen phone.

It looks like a 240 x 320 pixel display, and the rumour is that the LG KS20 is 12.8mm thick which would make the handset around 92 x 55mm when viewed from the front. One slightly strange feature is the large expanse of plastic that appears to be underneath the screen.

Palm today said it has sold 2 million Centro handsets since Sprint began selling the $99 smartphones last fall.

Sprint had an exclusive on the budget-priced Centro until

Philips X800 smart phone

Phillips has decided to officially bring out their 'iPhone killers' and add their names to a rather lengthy list of contenders for the title. Their handsets – the X800 and Xenium X-Connect are both Totally Touch Screen Mobiles.

The X800 is equipped with a 2.9-inch TFT touch screen with 240 x 400 pixel resolution and 262k colors. It supports external memory via microSD cards and comes with a 2 megapixel auto-focus camera. Other features include Bluetooth and handwriting recognition. According to the company, the X800 would be able to offer users up to 8 hours of talk time.

Their second ‘iKiller’, as I like to call such handsets, is the rather snazzy-named Xenium X-Connect, which is a Windows Mobile 6 enabled handset. It’s equipped with GPS, external memory support (microSD) and of course Bluetooth and USB connectivity. This handset has a 3- inch TFT touch screen display. Sadly it lacks Wi-Fi.

There doesn’t seem to be any sort of pricing on the handsets, nor is a there any info about their availability. Stay Tuned.

LG KF750 Phone

The 5 megapixel phone LG was planning to launch (and which we had mentioned earlier) has finally come to light in the official sense. The company launched its third LG Black Label Series handset – the LG Secret (Model: LG-KF750) – worldwide on April 24 in London. From the look, it seems to be another of LG’s chic 3G HSDPA enabled handsets... even if the name does leave a bit to be desired.

"The huge success of the previous models of the Black Label Series validated our approach to provide the ultimate mobile experience for today’s discerning consumers, who seek to embody personal style with their handsets," said Skott Ahn, President & CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications. “These are the enriched features that will diversify the way users interact with their handsets, but most of all, the LG Secret was designed to be a style that lasts."

The Secret is made from carbon fiber, one of the strongest composite materials – and one that's used in aerospace and high-performance automotives. It has a tempered glass display (2.4 inches, 240 x 320 pixel resolution) and Neon Touch navigation buttons.
The camera is a 5.0 megapixel job, which might just make this the slimmest 5MP camera phone in the market at just 11.8mm.

The handset boasts 120 fps video and DivX certified playback. There are photo/video editing features too, including morphing and SmartLight (which automatically adjusts the picture’s light settings). Users can also take advantage of the Movie Maker software to create their own videos.

A Touch Media feature takes advantage of the touchscreen to directly access five multimedia functions with a single button: music, photos, games, documents, and FM radio. Users can flip through photos on the screen while listening to music. The phone can handle Word, Excel and PowerPoint files, and comes with a Google Package that lets you surf the Internet, log into Gmail, use Google Maps, and watch YouTube videos. The Secret has an accelerometer sensor, and LG has included a few games that use this feature.

The LG Secret supports Bluetooth with A2DP and comes with an auto-sync feature that automatically synchronizes it with a PC. The auto-rotating display shifts the image on the screen for viewing in any position. The auto-luminance control adjusts the screen lighting according to ambient brightness. External memory is supported by means of a microSD card.

The LG Secret first launched in Europe, and this will be followed by launch events in Asia, South America, and on to the rest of the world. The price hasn't been announced yet, so stay tuned.
